Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Accessories: Full Recommended List
Let me start with the key takeaway: the right accessories depend entirely on how and where you shoot. Think about your primary use case before deciding what to buy.

I’ll walk you through my recommendations organized by use case, covering four main categories: everyday Vlogging 📷, motorcycling 🏍️, road cycling 🚴, and diving 🤿. These are the scenarios I personally shoot in regularly with the Ace Pro 2, and every accessory here is something I’ve actually used and found genuinely useful.

Ace Pro 2 Accessories for Vlogging & Travel 📷
The Ace Pro 2’s flip screen combined with the best 8K image quality in its class makes it my go-to camera for everyday Vlogging. Here are the accessories I’d recommend to anyone using the Ace Pro 2 for video content creation.
Multi-Function Selfie Stick Tripod

Made from sturdy plastic, the Multi-Function Selfie Stick Tripod is the one I consider best suited for the Ace Pro 2. Referencing Insta360’s official materials, you can see how the foldable design works in practice.

The tripod is solid enough to support the Ace Pro 2’s larger body with confidence. Its multi-joint, extendable design lets you lock it into a specific angle and shoot without having to hold it the whole time.

The ball-joint head is easy to operate — firm enough to hold its position, loose enough to adjust quickly. Even fine angle tweaks feel natural, which suggests some real ergonomic consideration went into the design. The tripod also features a claw grip that lets you hook it onto fences or railings, or hold it at unusual angles for creative shots — quite versatile.

Mini 2-in-1 Tripod

| Extended Length | 43cm |
| Folded Length | 16cm |
| Weight | 97g |
My second pick for travel and Vlogging is the Mini 2-in-1 Tripod. It extends to 43cm — enough reach for wide-angle selfies — while folding down to just 16cm, roughly the size of a smartphone. Incredibly easy to carry. It’s also included in several popular Ace Pro 2 bundles.

When fully extended, the Mini 2-in-1 reaches nearly the same length as the multi-function tripod — giving you solid compositional flexibility. The clip-lock mechanism is simple and intuitive. That said, it’s slightly less stable than the multi-function version in windy conditions; if you’re in a strong breeze, lowering the legs helps.
Beyond being lightweight, the Mini Tripod is also compatible with the Magnetic Selfie Stick Holster introduced next, and works great for hiking scenarios.
The Mini 2-in-1 Tripod has now been upgraded to a 2nd Gen version, adding Bluetooth remote control support. It extends to 58.5cm and switches freely between selfie stick and tripod modes.

Magnetic Selfie Stick Holster (Must-Have)

One of the most popular accessories among hikers and travel Vloggers is the Magnetic Selfie Stick Holster. It pairs with your selfie stick and clearly takes design cues from Peak Design — both in structure and ease of use. Genuinely worth picking up.

Attachment and detachment are quick and intuitive — and while the design is similar to Peak Design, it’s actually easier to use in practice. Personally, I’m a big fan.

Worn on the chest, it doubles as a first-person POV camera mount — a versatile combination with the Ace Pro 2 that opens up a whole new range of shooting perspectives.
Quick Release Mount (Must-Have)

This mount uses a magnet and quick-release system to make attaching and detaching the Ace Pro 2 far more convenient. It snaps on magnetically but requires pressing the side buttons to release — so it won’t accidentally pop off during a shoot.

The Ace Pro 2 already has a one-click mounting system built in, so the Quick Release Mount might seem redundant at first. But after actually using one, I found that having two mounts makes a real difference — for example, switching between a helmet mount and a handlebar during a motorcycle ride becomes seamlessly fast. The magnetic quick-release design is also genuinely simpler to operate than the standard mount, and this kind of magnetic ecosystem is something only DJI and Insta360 currently offer — GoPro can’t match it.
If you own both the Ace Pro 2 and X5, the Quick Release Mount 2.0 is highly recommended — it’s designed for MTB, off-road cycling, and motocross scenarios and is compatible with the Insta360 X4, X5, and Ace Pro 2. It switches between 1/4″ and two-claw interfaces in seconds, enabling fast camera swaps and flexible position changes across different rigs.

Cold Shoe & Mic Adapter

To connect an external wired microphone to the Ace Pro 2, you’ll need both the Cold Shoe and the Mic Adapter — both sold separately. If your microphone connects via Bluetooth, you won’t need these.

Street Photography Bundle & Xplorer Grip Kits
Insta360 released the Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Grip Kit on March 25, 2025. For existing Ace Pro 2 owners, this is a must-have for street photography and Vlogging. The unique Tilta accessories transform the Ace Pro 2 into a multi-purpose travel camera — giving an action camera the versatility of a traditional camera setup.

When traveling, you can pull the Ace Pro 2 out of your pocket and shoot on the streets at any moment. Add the LEICA filter preset and you’re practically carrying a budget Leica camera. Here are some photos I took during a trip to Nagoya — the color rendering already comes remarkably close to what a Leica produces.

Snow White Limited Edition — Street Photography Bundle
On September 9, 2025, Insta360 officially unveiled the Ace Pro 2 Snow White Limited Edition at IFA Berlin, as part of their ongoing collaboration with Leica. The white body paired with a silver street photography grip represents Insta360’s first foray into white action camera design. White action cameras are significantly harder to manufacture than black ones — yield rates are lower and quality control is more demanding. This limited release marks both a manufacturing milestone for Insta360 and a direct response to widespread demand for a white action camera option.

Mini Power Handle
If you’re considering the Ace Pro 2 Snow White Edition, the newly released white Mini Power Handle pairs perfectly with it.
Beyond the matching colorway creating a cohesive, unified look, the Mini Power Handle serves a genuinely practical function: charge while recording. You can shoot Vlog footage continuously without ever worrying about battery life running out.

Insta360 Mic Air

The Insta360 Mic Air is Insta360’s first ultra-lightweight wireless microphone. The transmitter (TX) is approximately 27mm in diameter and weighs just 7.9g — it clips or magnetically attaches to clothing. It pairs directly via Bluetooth with the Insta360 X5 and Ace Pro 2 without any receiver needed; the included USB-C receiver handles smartphone and Flow 2 Pro connections.
As Insta360’s own microphone, the Mic Air pairs with the Ace Pro 2 seamlessly. The audio is natural and unobtrusive — well suited for Vlog recording.
Instax Print Bundle & Xplorer Grip Pro Kit 2.0
On November 12, 2025, Insta360 officially launched the Ace Pro 2 Instax Print Bundle and Filmmaker Bundle. The lineup includes: the Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Grip Pro Kit 2.0 (featuring an oversized handle, zoom lever, and built-in battery for a DSLR-like shooting experience), a Pocket Printer for instant 3-inch prints, plus a Cinematic Lens, Star Filter, Macro Lens, and Ultra-Wide Lens.

Below are Insta360’s official sample shots — each lens produces a distinctly different visual style. If you want to experience multiple looks in one go, the Filmmaker Bundle is the best way to do it.

For the instant print experience, the Instax Print Bundle is the one to get. Add this kit to your Ace Pro 2 and it instantly becomes a pocket instant camera. The bundle includes the Xplorer Grip Pro Kit 2.0, a Pocket Printer, a Flip Screen Hood, and a retro leather carry case — transforming your action camera into a three-in-one creative tool for street shooting, action recording, and instant printing. Print 3-inch photos on the spot via Bluetooth.

The Ace Pro 2 Xplorer Grip Pro Kit 2.0 is a significant upgrade over version 1.0. It clips directly onto the Ace Pro 2 and features a dedicated zoom lever, exposure control dial, and quick mode switching — dramatically improving the shooting experience and precision. The built-in battery also extends runtime.

- Size & Design: Version 1.0 is bulkier; version 2.0 features a more compact, tighter form factor that’s easier to carry.
- Battery + Controls: Version 2.0 adds a charging function to the handle, plus a dedicated zoom dial for more precise shooting adjustments.
- Color: Version 2.0 comes in all-black; version 1.0 was available in black and silver.

Quick Reader 512GB Portable SSD
No extra memory card needed — the Quick Reader supports 420MB/s read/write speeds directly from Ace Pro 2 recordings, and footage is saved automatically to the SSD. When you’re done shooting, pull it out and plug it into your phone, computer, or tablet to access, export, and edit immediately — making the entire workflow faster and simpler.

Ace Pro 2 Accessories for Motorcyclists 🏍️
Like the X4, the Ace Pro 2 is hugely popular among motorcycle riders. For night riders in particular, the Ace Pro 2 is my stronger recommendation — its larger sensor delivers significantly better low-light image quality compared to the 360° camera X5. Pair it with the right motorcycle accessories and you’ll capture night-ride footage that’s genuinely difficult to match.
Heavy-Duty Clamp
For riding, the Ace Pro 2 needs a heavy-duty clamp to mount securely to the handlebars. It’s equally effective on 360° cameras like the X4 for capturing rear-view footage — one of the most practical motorcycle accessories available. As the name suggests, this clamp is genuinely heavy-duty and built to last.

The Ace Pro 2’s one-click mounting system makes it especially appealing for motorcyclists. Whether you’re pulling over briefly or stopping at a convenience store, there are no screws to fuss with — it’s fast and effortless. The Heavy-Duty Clamp is sold as part of the Motorcycle Kit (with adhesive base), making it the natural bundle choice for riders.
If you don’t have mounting tools on hand, I’d recommend going straight for the Motorcycle Bundle. Beyond the Heavy-Duty Clamp, the bundle also includes an adhesive base mount and installation tools. Just stick the base onto the fuel tank or any flat surface and you’re ready to shoot.

Helmet Chin Mount 2.0

There are many ways to mount an action camera on a helmet, but a common worry is that the mount might slip or fall. The Helmet Chin Mount 2.0 addresses two persistent pain points for action camera users — drop risk and adhesive residue. It uses a Velcro strap system that’s both secure and leaves absolutely no residue on your helmet.
In actual use, it holds far more firmly than I expected. The mounted height sits within ±1.2cm of eye level — the closest any helmet mount currently comes to a true first-person perspective. For the best experience, I strongly recommend pairing it with the GPS Preview Remote so you can check and adjust framing while riding.
Neck Mount
For first-person POV riding footage, the Neck Mount is an essential accessory.

Helmet Mount Bundle
The Helmet Mount Bundle lets you attach the Ace Pro 2 to the side or top of your helmet.

Rear View Mirror Mount
The Heavy-Duty Clamp introduced earlier only works on thicker tubes like handlebars. The Rear View Mirror Mount fills the gap for situations with limited mounting space — thin side tubes on motorcycles or bicycles, for example.

This is a standout accessory — checking your camera’s live view feels as natural as glancing at an Apple Watch.
The GPS Preview Remote for the Ace Pro 2 provides remote control while riding — especially useful when the camera is mounted somewhere outside your direct line of sight, like on a helmet chin mount. You can adjust your framing while moving, ensuring you never miss a critical shot due to a misaligned camera.

ND Filter Set

This ND filter set includes ND8, ND16, ND32, and a polarizing filter (PL) — covering a wide range of lighting conditions and making it a must-have for riding footage.
Why would you want to make the image darker with ND filters? By reducing the light entering the lens, you can use slower shutter speeds during motorcycle riding footage — which creates stronger motion blur and a more dramatic sense of speed.
The Ace Pro / Ace Pro 2 already has an excellent built-in Motion ND feature, but when you need precise shutter speed control in specific situations, physical ND filters are still the go-to tool. They also allow you to create richer, more dramatic light and shadow effects that add visual depth to your footage.

One personal tip: ND filters are excellent for shooting waterfalls and flowing clouds — highly recommended for those specific subjects.
Ace Pro 2 Accessories for Road Cyclists 🚴

Next up are accessories for cyclists and road riders. The Ace Pro and Ace Pro 2 have a dedicated following among the cycling community. While GoPro performs well in mountain biking and extreme sports, among road cyclists specifically, the Ace Pro 2 is widely considered the best action camera available right now.
[New] Bike Computer Mount

The Bike Computer Mount delivers excellent stability on road bikes, keeping everything firmly in place. Installation is straightforward — just tighten with a hex key. It’s compatible with major cycling computer brands including Garmin, Wahoo, Bryton, and Giant.

Here’s what it looks like mounted. The result is an immersive cycling perspective that really puts viewers in the saddle.
[New] GPS Preview Remote with Built-in Mic
Insta360 launched the new GPS Preview Remote with Built-in Mic in July 2025. Compatible with the Ace Pro 2 and X5, it supports live image transmission up to 160 meters and remote settings adjustment within 100 meters. For anyone regularly using the Ace Pro 2 or X5 to capture cycling footage, this remote is essentially indispensable. It works across multiple mounting configurations — handlebars, collar, wrist, or selfie stick — making it highly adaptable and significantly improving both convenience and shooting efficiency on long rides.

Key features of the Insta360 GPS Preview Remote with Built-in Mic:
- GPS location recording — precisely logs your shooting location for post-ride route review. Compatible with the Insta360 App and Studio, which automatically generate speed curves, elevation maps, and GPS tracks synchronized to the video timeline
- Precise ride tracking — captures route, speed, and direction for a complete record of every session
- Bluetooth control with stable remote operation and audio transmission up to 160 meters
- 32-bit float audio recording — preserves full audio detail
- Live preview within 100 meters — check framing and image quality on the remote screen in real time
- Battery life up to 7 hours — handles extended shooting sessions without issue
- Compatible with Insta360’s latest cameras — Ace Pro 2 and X5
- Supports custom wallpapers for a personalized display
- Ongoing firmware updates to continue improving features and usability
Note: if you’re using the X4 or Ace Pro, the GPS Action Remote (released in 2024) is the right choice. It comes with both a wristband and a handlebar strap, so you can wear it like a smartwatch or mount it to your bike — ideal for long rides where you don’t want to constantly reach for your phone. With Bluetooth 5.0 and a range of up to 20 meters, it pairs instantly and gives you flexible control over the Ace Pro or X4.

Cycling Bundle

This is a mount bundle designed specifically for road cycling — includes a handlebar mount and a chest strap. The handlebar mount is a universal aluminum design with a solid, reliable hold. You can mount it directly or adjust it to your preferred angle and position for a personalized setup.

The Cycling Bundle offers real flexibility — multiple mounting positions give you maximum creative freedom for capturing rides from different perspectives. It can also be bundled directly with the Ace Pro 2 as a package purchase.
Ace Pro 2 Accessories for Diving 🤿
Dive Case & Floating Hand Grip
If you plan to use the Ace Pro 2 for underwater footage, the two essential accessories are the Dive Case and the Floating Hand Grip. With the Dive Case, the Ace Pro 2 can go up to 60 meters deep. One thing to note: keep the microphone wind guard away from the water — once it gets wet, both recording quality and noise reduction performance will be affected.
If you haven’t purchased the Ace Pro 2 body yet, you can also go straight for the Ace Pro 2 Dive Bundle, which already includes the Dive Case and Floating Hand Grip — everything you need to start shooting underwater right out of the box.
